I suppose this can be chalked up to the fact that fairies are found in so many different cultures and folklore that you can't be too specific or you'll exclude a certain type of fairy. So, small supernatural free spirited pretty people.

"F" is for Fairy...
Alright, it's Friday and I have a Fairy for you. Wikipedia's definition for fairy is pretty wide: "A fairy (also faery, faerie, fay, fae; euphemistically wee folk, good folk, people of peace, fair folk, etc.)[1] is a type of mythical being or legendary creature, a form of spirit, often described as metaphysical, supernatural or preternatural."
