Tree of Life: The Bodhi Tree

The Bodhi Tree, was a large and very old Sacred Fig tree located in Bodh Gaya, under which Siddhartha Gautama, the spiritual teacher and founder of Buddhism later known as Gautama Buddha, is said to have achieved enlightenment, or Bodhi.  So, perhaps we could more accurately call this the Tree of Enlightenment, however if you dedicate your life to enlightenment and freedom of spirit I think it is appropriate to consider the Bodhi Tree a tree of life.
